Based in Sydney, Gayle offers select, high-touch representation for residential sellers and
buyers across the city’s key markets, backed by a broad personal network across Sydney and
connections that span the globe. Her approach is consultative and personal — built on more
than 25 years of property experience across three continents and four Australian states.

Gayle Walker works the way the world used to — before volume became the goal. She
embraces today’s tools and technology, but the approach underneath is genuine: care deeply
about the overall outcome, and never rush a client to get there.

She takes on two or three clients at a time — by design, not by accident. Almost all her
business comes through referral, which she sees as the only review that really counts. No
pressure. No silence between calls. Straight talking and hard work aren’t a point of difference for
Gayle — they’re simply how she operates, and it’s what she’s known for.

Previously working as a Headhunter in the capital markets of London, Europe & the US, Gayle
returned to Australia in 2000 where she moved into the world of residential real estate. After
achieving a position as one of the Lower North Shore’s leading agents, Gayle saw an under
representation of women in the industry and launched the first, all female agency, in 2007.
Gayle Walker Real Estate was ultimately awarded the No 1 Agency on the Lower North Shore,
beating 97 participants including many large franchises. Seeing a global trend, she merged her
business with Sotheby’s International Realty on Sydney’s Lower North Shore in 2015, before
relocating to Hobart in 2019 to acquire and launch Tasmania Sotheby’s International Realty.

In 2021 Gayle founded Gayle Walker Property Specialists, her Tasmanian boutique agency,
which continues to operate, offering residential sales and a buyer’s agency service for interstate
buyers — a service born from her own experience of purchasing property interstate.

Now based in Sydney, Gayle has launched a dedicated Sydney practice, bringing the same
considered, relationship-led approach to a select number of clients across the city’s key
residential markets.

– Active volunteer, Dress for Success Hobart, supporting women entering or returning to
the workforce
– Women Chiefs of Enterprises International (WCEI) Tasmania — Past President
2022–2024, committee member 2020–2025. Now a member of the NSW Division.
