Director at Milton Village Medical

Dr Karyn Huntley grew up on a dairy farm in rural Northern NSW. I graduated from the University of Queensland in 1996 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and subsequently completed my hospital and General Practice training. I developed special interests in Women’s health, Antenatal Care, Mental health, Family health and Paediatrics. I did further study to obtain a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and also did one year further training in an Acute Mental Health Unit in Northern New South Wales. Despite these particular interests I regard myself as a holistic General Practitioner that understands the importance and impact of all aspects of our health on our overall psychological and physical well-being.

I am passionate about General Practice and really enjoy the challenge and responsibility of assisting patients with all aspects of health maintenance and therapy of illness.

I am married with three high school-aged children. I love family life and treasure the privilege of watching our children grow and learn. I understands personally the challenges of today’s busy life and the pressures associated with juggling and managing busy schedules and lifestyles. I am one of the owners and Directors at Milton Village Medical. I have been challenged by the role of managing the busy practice, the reception staff, the nurses and contracted Drs. Despite the challenge of managing the business I have learnt a lot and I continue to learn everyday.
