Kate Greaves

Kate Greaves – Goldworthy

“I am an insurance adviser.  My job is to act as the go-to between insurer and client. This can be particularly handy if you are time poor, needing to look for insurance quotes or have a claim. I love getting to know our clients, their businesses and building a strong relationship over many years.”

Kate has been in the General Insurance industry since 2004 when she joined the family business part time while studying to be a teacher. However, as she delved deeper into the insurance industry she discovered her true passion lay here. Kate was captivated by the countless opportunities and the ever-expanding knowledge that the industry had to offer. She is the third generation of a family legacy that has been part of this industry for over 60 year so it quickly became a natural fit. In 2010 when Kate’s mother retired unexpectedly due to health reasons, Kate took over managing the General Insurance team and within 4 years had doubled the gross written premium and won back-to-back awards in excellence for her and her team’s achievements. In 2021 Kate proudly purchased the business from her father,
adopting the Director’s 17 years after she first walked through the door. Kate’s team recently celebrated being recognised as a Gold Practice for the 5th year in a row by their licensee Resilium Insurance Broking, and in 2023 Kate herself was chosen to participate in Hollards 12 month Aspire Women Leaders program supporting and helping professional females to reach new heights in their field. Weekends find Kate switching into ‘Mum mode’ – ruled often by kids sports and playing taxi. For herself, a little retail therapy goes a long way in supporting a very colourful love of fashion. She enjoys a good book, great company, escaping to the country whenever she can and more recently discovered a new interest in running and  completed her first half marathon on the Gold Coast July 2024.

“While my primary business goal is to further refine our client experience, ensuring they feel fully
protected and empowered, I also aspire to conquer the illusive work-life juggle. Balancing the
intricacies of ‘teen drama’ and finding moments for a nap or two—now, that’s the dream, isn’t it?”
