Your brain just won’t be quiet long enough for you to fall asleep.  You’re mentally reviewing the day you just completed whilst also previewing the day ahead, what haven’t you done, could it have been better, how will you meet those deadlines?   The more you worry, the less you sleep — and the less you sleep, the more you worry.   Whether it’s a new business or a demanding boss, stress and worry can make it difficult to relax, robbing us of a good night’s sleep.
