WCEI Rejoins FCEM

An important message to all Members

Dear Members,

In penning this message I am amazed at how quickly time passes for it seems to me that my role as WCEI President has only just begun yet it has been twelve months since taking on the mantle. There have been a great number of changes during the past year made by your Council and other dedicated WCEI members.

Firstly I have news that I know will gladden the hearts of many of our members who remember the memorable past experiences of membership with FCEM. After much deliberation and in considering events that necessitated a temporary break from FCEM, the council has decided to once again join the FCEM fold. Many of those present at the Queensland conference will have met Vice President of FCEM Tanya Hine and therefore could not doubt the future of FCEM in her capable hands. A "MUST BE THERE" date in your diaries will be the:  FCEM Congress in Florence on October 19^th 2010. I would be delighted if WCEI members made themselves available to attend the congress in order to enjoy meeting with so many other wonderful international entrepreneurs. Many members in the past have discovered life-long friends whilst attending the FCEM congresses.

Last year I spoke of forming alliances with many women's organizations globally and nationally. FCEM joins our association with NEWWW, Connected Women, Westpac, the Heart Foundation and I hope many more to follow over the next few years. We are becoming a truly global organization and one which other associations are pleased to partner with.

You will by now have noticed that WCEI has had a "makeover". WCEI has received extremely positive comments made in relation to the new branding and as we roll out further initiatives in 2010 we hope to retain and increasingly attract more members to our wonderful association. A strategic planning session will be held in Sydney next April so if you have any contribution to make towards this meeting, I would be more than happy to take them into consideration. Please have your say!

Already our ACT members are preparing for the next conference in September 2010 which promises to be a wonderful experience. Once the date has been finalized you will all be the first to know.

Keep your eyes on the web site. Later this year it will undergo a dramatic change to its appearance in order to align the site to our objectives and goals as an organization. It will become the hub of our organization and a means whereby we can connect with each other.

Finally thank you all for your patience in waiting for us to make all the necessary changes to procedures and operations of WCEI which I think you will all agree has resulted in a far more professional look and feel. WCEI has been working towards change for quite some time and we have almost reached the conclusion of stage 1.  Stage 2 will be ensuring that we constantly continue looking at improving our operations. 

I wish you all the best for the end of year events and parties and I look forward to seeing many more of our members in 2010 as I visit individual state functions. I do hope that you all have a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year.
